(NOTE: Last program scheduled for SATURDAY October 31st!)
Program description: A Golden Gate Raptor Observatory volunteer gives an hour-long talk about hawk migration, identification, and monitoring, complete with bird photos and examples of wings, tails, and talons. Then at 1pm, a newly banded hawk is brought up and shown to the crowd. A banding volunteer talks about GGRO’s banding program, and the hawk is released in front of the crowd.
No Fee; No registration necessary; meet on top of Hawk Hill at noon
(leave ample time to park and walk up the hill).

***Please note - There are NO food or beverage vendors in the Marin Headlands. You are advised to bring a picnic lunch and anything else you may need! There are many cafes and restaurants in Sausalito - not a long distance away, but with weekend traffic and tourism it could take up to 30 minutes to travel one way.
- October 24, Saturday and October 25, Sunday: Scientific Displays, Radiotelemetry Demonstrations, Live Non-releasable Raptors, Kid Crafts, GGRO 25th Anniversary Product Sales, Visits to Hawk Hill, Banding Demonstrations, and Raptor Art.

- October 25, Sunday: All the above and the GGRO Symposium - talks on GGRO science and conservation about what we‘ve learned over 25 years. Speakers from GGRO, UC Davis, and SF State University, presenting results of their research with GGRO.
